The short history of buddhism

The short history of buddhism and 'Native Buddhists/Scheduled castes' of India:

1. Aryans were nomadic tribes
2. They invaded into Asia and Europe circa 2000-1200 BC from Siberia

3. Approximately during 1500-1200 BC they infiltrated into Indus valley through Khyber pass currently lies in between Pakistan and Afghan

4.After Aryan invasion they introduced Vedas in Indus-Gangetic region

5.They claimed the vedas are written by god and their messengers

6.According to the vedas they self proclaimed that they are superior by birth.

7.They claimed that they are the only sects which could access vedas.

8. They convinced kings of ancient india and successfully implemented the chathurvarna civil code

9. According to the that chathurvarna people were divided into 4 classes namely brahmana, sathriya, vaishya and sudra

10. Mean while buddha born during 5 th BC in Sakya clan

11. He denounced chathurvarna and started preaching equality of human beings

12. He professed that male and female are equal.

13.People started to follow him

14. Millions of people denounced chathurvarna and accepted DHAMMA

15.Buddhism flourished in india and spreaded to 15 countries around the world.

16.Buddha's social reforms are called  REVOLUTION by Babasaheb.Dr.Ambedkar against unequal chadurvarna.

17.Buddhism was civil code in india for almost 700 years.
King Asoka took buddha to new levels

18.During second century BC the grand son of  King Mourya was mischievously killed by his own army general named pushyamitra sungan who was a brahmin and came into power by back door

19.He again proclaimed chathurvarna system into the society around india

20. He made chathurvarna as a social civil code (LAW)

21. According to the chathurvarna again brahmins are introduced into every worship places as superior beings based on birth.

22. During his tyrannic reign Buddhists monks were brutally murdered and buddhist's religious structures were demolished unscrupulously

23. Then brahmins started to remodel the statues of Buddha into perumal/Vishnu

24. The tirupati temple, lord ayyapa temple, sri rangam ranganatha temples are the classical examples.

25. Govt of Kerala officially accepted that ayyapa temple was historically a buddhist temple in supreme court.

26. The reclined buddha statue in srirengam was photoshoped into Vishnu statue by ancient method of remodelling

27. To slander buddha's eight fold path, brahmins made 8 as an unholy number

28. During this hindu hegemonic tyranny many people returned to chathurvarna system and accepted brahminical supermacy

29. But staunch buddhists across india refused vedas/graded inequality and superstitious hindu practices.

30. Those buddhists were sent out from village main land and ostracized in ghettos.

31.They were refused basic human rights

32. They were denied social rights and forced to do menial jobs

33. Their rational culture was totally vanished, their monks were brutally murdered , their religious structures were demolished are encroached

34. Through this religious oppression later untouchabilty was passively imposed on them.

35. To identify them they were called as 'Avarna' ( out of varna system) and panchama ( those who follow panch seela of buddha)

36. Through this they were included into hindu social order as fifth class below shudhras.

37. The above mentioned Native buddhists/Panchama/Avarna are identified and defined as scheduled castes (SC) during British rule.

38. Babasaheb Dr.Ambedkar clearly proved the above mentioned history in his book called 'who were all untouchables ? & Revolution and counter revolution.

39. He proved that present  Scheduled castes were proud  Native buddhists of this country those who refused the brahminical social order and remained to practice equality.

40. To reverse the history and to rebuild the buddhism Dr.Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with his five lakh disciples.

41.By the way he was revered with the title 'bhodhisattva' by buddhist community.

42. He told that his conversion to buddhism is not conversion but a 'reversion to his native religion.

43. And very clearly without any doubt he proved that the only way to get rid of untouchabilty is by denouncing hinduism and to rebuild the native buddhist culture.

44. Following his foot path millions people embraced buddhism so far around the country.

45. The total population of buddhists in india according to the census 2011 is 8 million and also continuously growing.
Namo buddha!

Dr.Satva Sakya
